I didn’t move for over an hour today. I looked at the silky hair, and the baby flushed cheeks. His eyelashes were long and he didn’t open them. He snuggled into my arms and was completely limp, relaxed, trusting, sleeping.
It doesn’t happen much anymore. This busy boy is always motoring, always looking so he doesn’t miss anything. Just for an instant today, time stood still, and for once, I let it. My sweet Benjamin is growing up. He bounces between baby and young child. The baby moments are less and less frequent. For a moment today, he was my baby.
I enjoyed it all. I soaked in the moment as the world moved on around us.
