Twins for Two Weeks

Twins for two weeks

When we heard there was a little guy born with no family interested, I decided to send the information to a family that had been looking. They thought they were too old to be placed with a baby…This little guy had a rough start. Aspiration of meconium, asphyxia for 10 minutes, neonatal stroke resulting in a partial paralysis of his left hand and forearm (hopefully he will regain that). The area the stroke was in may have affected his eyesight, the extent is unknown, or not at all…time will tell. He is cute as a button!! Anyway, after hearing nothing for a week or so, they were surprised to be contacted to be matched with Baby Boy H.  But, there was a problem. Their paperwork was not ready and the baby was ready to come out of the hospital. The social worker for the baby was going to call DHS, since there was no viable alternative…

But there had to be a solution. Our home study was approved for a sibling group and we only had one little baby…hmmm… Welcome Ethan for two weeks while Momma and Daddy get the right documents. We met Ethan’s family at the hospital when we picked him up 🙂  We were instant friends…all for a little boy, whom God loves and was made just to fit into a family. One at a time…

God sets the lonely in families, he leads forth the prisoners with singing; but the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land. Psalm 86:6

Pray for Ethan that he is healed from the effects of his stroke. That his hand and forearm are strong and that his eyes are perfect!! And if not, that the family is wise in their choices of therapies. May Ethan learn of God’s love for him at a very young age, and live to serve Him.

  1. Thank you Esther and Ray for loving Ethan Christopher in our absence.

27 Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
